Autodesk Impression
Autodesk® Impression 3 file conversion software has helpful tools and features that enable
you to wrangle different kinds of graphics into one great presentation. Whether
you're dealing with native DWF, DWG, or other file types, Impression can convert
them seamlessly and efficiently into the presentation format that works best
for you.
CAD Compatible
Not only can you open any DWG™ or DWF™ file
in Autodesk Impression file conversion softare, but Impression also understands
CAD data, such as blocks, layers, and hatches.
Familiar User Interface and Toolbar
If you’re already
accustomed to working with Autodesk software products, you’ll be familiar
with the Layers palette and the toolbar. The tools are streamlined and straightforward,
so your workspace is uncluttered, enabling you to get up to speed quickly.
Prebuilt
Styles and Blocks
Easily add styles and content to quickly create
presentation graphics from your CAD files. Prebuilt styles include colored
pencils, markers, and watercolor washes. Add entourage assets – like
cars, trees, and people – with
the included block libraries.
Block
Substitution
Impression file conversion software takes full advantage
of DWG blocks, so you can quickly replace DWG block references with stylized
blocks you create in Impression.
CAD Update
Easily update a rendered image by importing revised
CAD geometry to your Impression image.
Share Your Work
Save Impression illustrations as DWF files,
viewable with Autodesk® Design
Review collaboration software. You can also save illustrations in several
file formats popular in the desktop publishing world, including PSD,
EPS, PDF, as well as PNG, JPG, BMP, and other popular image file formats. Print
illustrations made with Impression software onto any size page supported
by standard plotters – up to size E sheets – with resolutions
up to 300 dpi.
Built-in Learning Resources
Use the Jump Start Tour to help
you understand the basic concepts used in creating a rendered image in Impression,
with easy-to-follow exercises and informational videos. For an in-depth introduction
to the application, a Quick Start guide is located in the Help menu.
