Solution Implementation

Our Solution Implementation service is an assessment aimed at an efficient installation of your Autodesk software product configured to your company’s needs. There are four key phases to the Solution Implementation process.

Solution ImplementationPHASE I: Assessment
To conduct the Solution Implementation, Advanced Solutions consultants meet with key participants in your organization, interviewing teams and analyzing the specific needs of your company relative to your Autodesk product. The primary objectives of the Assessment are to define and document business objectives, project requirements and constraints, illustrate how the software fits in workflow and contributes to organizational productivity, identify barriers to implementation and recommend a systematic approach to implementation, including recommendations for pilot project evaluation, deployment services, training, and ongoing support.

PHASE II: Configuration
During the Configuration phase, we work with clients to tailor your Autodesk software product to your internal workflow. We accomplish this through customizing styles and libraries, establishing data standards, database creation and design, project file configuration as well as other tasks that may arise during the Assessment phase.

PHASE III: Training
Getting your team up to speed with your Autodesk software investment is a critical to a successful Solution Implementation. During this phase, Advanced Solutions provides training to your organization to ensure effective implementation.

PHASE IV: Pilot Project & Mentoring
The last phase of the Implementation process is the Pilot Project & Mentoring. The client selects a project with which to begin utilizing the new software. During the Pilot Project, Advanced Solutions Application Engineer(s) work closely with the client on a project for a defined period of time. The Pilot provides proof-of-concept, is used to evaluate and make necessary changes to implementation before final rollout and can be helpful in obtaining executive level ‘buy-in’.

In addition to our full Solution Implementation plan Advanced Solutions offers the following Implementation services.

Project HealthCheck
Project HealthCheck is designed to serve as a “check up” once implementation is complete. It helps ensure that the implementation process results in long term success and improved productivity for the client.

  • Regular “check-ins” with the Project team
  • Ongoing mentoring
  • Project audits
  • Pre-emptive preparation for deadlines and submissions

QuickStart
The QuickStart is recommended for clients who are unfamiliar with the software, or the methodologies and workflows required by the software. This offering incorporates three weeks of four-day sessions:

  • Four days of “right sized” Product Training
  • Four days of Configuration (and Optimization) of a Pilot Project
  • Four days of additional Mentoring / Advanced Training for the pilot project team

Mentoring
During Mentoring, Advanced Solutions application engineers work closely with the project team members to provide support as they start, and continue their project(s). This can take the form of over-the-shoulder mentoring with the project team, and may include additional ad-hoc lecture style training. The timing of the mentoring is aligned with project milestones to prepare the team for deliverables.

Web Based Project Mentoring
Advanced Solutions also offers web based mentoring which can be more cost effective for the client than in-person mentoring.  The process takes place via phone and email communications and online:

  • Client submits software related issues and challenges weekly
  • Dedicated Application Engineer works through issues & challenges
  • Project management team meets with client weekly (online) to review solutions
